Bourtzi
Bourtzi is a small peninsula in the port of Skiathos, fomerly a fortress. It was founded by the Gizy family, who captured Skiathos in 1027.

One of the greatest and most important people of Greek literature, Alexandros Papadiamantis, was born and lived in Skiathos. His works revolved around the beauties of the island and the everyday life of the inhabitants, imbued with his pure and poetic speech.
